Not sure what an ingredient is? You're in the right place. Keep in mind that there is always a reason for everything that we use. Of course, we are always learning and growing. When we find an ingredient that is of higher quality or maybe even more gentle, we make modifications. If you should have a question or concern, please reach out!  

  • Deionized Water- water that contains minerals and ions. 
  • Distilled Water- completely free of minerals or ions. 
  • Cocamidopropyl Betaine- is a mixture of closely related organic compounds derived from coconut oil, used as a surfactant in personal care products. 
  • Surfactant- play a crucial role in bath products, creating that delightful foamy lather we associate with cleansing. 
  • PEG 80- used to help ingredients emulsify (mix together) 
  • Sorbitan Laurate- works as a cleansing agent and emulsifier and may be naturally derived or synthetic. It can be used to enhance the overall texture of skin care formulas.
  • Sodium Trideceth Sulphate- (helps dirt rinse away) surfactant commonly used in cosmetics and personal care products. As a surfactant, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate acts as a cleansing and foaming agent, helping to remove dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin and hair. It is often found in shampoos, body washes, and cleansers. Additionally, it is important to note that Sodium Trideceth Sulfate is not alcohol itself, but it is derived from ethoxylated alcohols. 
  • Vegetable Glycerin-acts as a moisturizing agent. is a thick, colorless, odorless compound which is water soluble and non toxic. It is used in formulas to help the skin retain moisture and to pull oxygen into the skin. It can soften and soothe skin
  • Aloe Barbadensis- aloe leaf that is soothing, anti-inflammatory, comforting
  • Sodium Lauroamphoacetate- very mild cleansing agent from coconut
  • Ethylene Glycol Monostearate- gives a pearl look  
  • PEG 150 Distearate- used to thicken ingredients 
  • Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol (Optiphen®)- a natural preservative 
  • Fragrance/Essential Oil- are primarily plant based scents. Some are made with a mix of aroma chemicals and natural ingredients like extracts, essential oils, and resins. 
  • Helianthus Annuus- (Sunflower) Seed Oil
  • Soja Hispida (Soybean) Oil)
  • Dihydroxyacetone (DHA)- It is often derived from plant sources such as sugar beets and sugar cane.
  • Propanediol (Zemea®)- a chemical substance either derived from corn
  • Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride- compound that combines fatty acids from natural oils, such as coconut oil, with glycerin.
  • Butyrospermum Parkii- Shea Butter
  • Theobroma Cacao- Cocoa Seed Butter
  • Emulsifying Wax NF- helps ingredients to emulsify or come to together and then not separate.
  • Palm Stearic Acid- a natural ingredient that helps things harden up
  • Cetyl Alcohol- plant based waxy substance that hydrates skin and help ingredients to bind together.  
  • Cetearyl alcohol- from coconuts 
  • Polysorbate 80- fatty acid in vegetable fats that helps ingredients mix
  • Glyceryl Stearate- natural stabilizer
  • Xanthan Gum- stabilizer
  • Tocopherol- Vitamin E
  • Camellia Sinensis- Japanese Green Tea Leaf Extract
  • Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol- are a natural humectant
  • Vitis Vinifera- Grape Seed Oil
  • Persea Gratissima- Avocado Oil
  • Glyceryl Stearate-
  • Simmondsia Chinensis- Jojoba Seed Oil
  • Stearic Acid- occurs in shea and cocoa butter
  • Silk Amino Acids- natural water-soluble glycoprotein extracted from raw silk that is great for moisture
  • Glycerin- natural humectant that protects
  • Sorbitol- thickener that helps skin retain moisture 
  • Cyclopentasiloxane- protective barrier
  • Methyl Cellulose- used in skin care as a film-forming substance, binding agent, emulsion stabilizer and texture enhancer.
  • Allantoin- comes from plants and helps to exfoliate and treat rough skin
  • Sodium Lauroyl Lactylat- comes from salt helping to wash dirt away
  • Ethylhexylglycerin- natural skin softening agent from soybeans
  • Phenoxyethanol- found in green tea
  • Benhentrimomium Chloride- a great condition agent from grapeseed
  • Phenoxyethano- comes from green tea
  • Polysorbate 20- comes from fruit. It can help with skin conditions.
  • Euphorbia Cerifera- Candelilla Wax
  • Cannabis Sativa- Hemp Seed Oil
